Powder coating is a finishing process in which paint in powder form is applied to the surface of a component and then heated so that it bonds firmly to the material. The powder is applied electrostatically, ensuring a uniform coating without drips or overspray. During curing in an oven, the powder melts and forms a durable, uniform and smooth surface. Polyester powder coatings are suitable for a wide range of applications and are available in an extensive selection of colours and surface textures.

Qualicoat 2 Colours (QC2)

At ROLTEK, we understand the power of nature and the effects of weather exposure. For this reason, all new standard ROLTEK colours (Prime and Advanced) are classified as Qualicoat Class 2 and feature a fine-textured finish. This ensures the highest level of weather resistance while also helping to prevent scratches and other potential damage that may occur during product manufacturing and installation.

Qualicoat Class 2 colours are certified coatings that meet the strictest industry standards for quality and durability, providing exceptional resistance to weather conditions, UV radiation and abrasion.

These coatings provide outstanding durability and appearance, retaining their colour and texture for longer than conventional coatings.

In accordance with the RAL quality assurance guidelines (RAL RG 631), coating quality must be assessed without visual aids from a distance of 5 m for exterior components and 3 m for interior components. Minor spots, scratches, sanding marks and weld seams that are not clearly visible from these distances are not considered defects and therefore do not constitute grounds for a complaint.
