Box made of dual-chamber PVC profiles
RA.2 is the basic top-mounted roller shutter system and is intended for anyone looking for a high-quality, highly insulated roller shutter system without the need for integrated insect screens. The box is made of dual-chamber PVC profiles and insulated with polystyrene. High-quality plastic guide rails are available, although aluminium guide rails are more recommended, as they are even more resistant to weathering. Like all top-mounted systems, RA.2 is installed together with the window into the prepared opening.
The box has an inspection panel on the front inner side, which means that it remains partially visible inside the room after installation.
Guide rails
High-quality guide rails ensure smooth and comfortable movement of the roller shutter shell during operation. We allow you to individually adapt the guide rails to your window sill by means of an angled cut or a notch. Aluminium guide rails can be powder-coated in any shade from the RAL colour range, while PVC guide rails can be finished with a decorative foil in a choice of colours.
Angled End Slat
All ROLTEK roller shutter systems guarantee a flawless design, as they are manufactured without visible screws. The split angled bottom bar is standard on the KARO and RA.3 systems. It allows easy access to the mechanism through the inspection opening whenever necessary. The PURO 2.XR system has a standard straight bottom bar, which is completely concealed in the housing for even more daylight in the room.
Thermal insulation
Energy-efficient construction means keeping energy consumption for living as low as possible. This is where ROLTEK top-mounted roller shutter systems perform particularly well. In addition to the excellent insulation values of the housings, heat loss through the window is also prevented by the lowered roller shutter shell.
Different Box Colours
Sometimes the installation situation differs slightly from the standard. In such cases, part of the housing may remain visible. This is not a problem, as we offer numerous options for finishing PVC boxes with decorative foils, or the box can be covered with an aluminium panel, which can be powder-coated in any shade.
One box for roller shutters or venetian blinds
In bedrooms, we want complete darkness, while in living areas we may prefer more options for adjusting the amount of incoming light. The PURO 2.XR box made of polyurethane foam allows the installation of either a roller shutter or a venetian blind, making it ideal for combining different shading systems in one building.
Operating options
ROLTEK systems are designed for intelligent operation and complete integration into modern smart homes. Pento front-mounted roller shutters can be operated in various ways – with an automatic belt winder, monocommand, switch or remote control. For even greater comfort, they can also be connected to the TAHOMA smart home system.
Dual safety function
ROLTEK wired and remote-controlled motors have an integrated DUAL SAFETY FUNCTION as standard:

lowered roller shutter function; the roller shutter is pressed against the window sill so that the shell cannot be forcibly lifted

The basic material is aluminium, which is always powder-coated. This treatment ensures long-lasting colour, resistance to weather conditions and worry-free use without the need for repainting. A wide selection of colours is available from the extensive RAL colour range and other colour charts.

Are external shading systems resistant to wind and other weather conditions?
Yes. External shading systems are designed to withstand normal weather conditions. However, in very strong winds or storms, we recommend raising the shading systems to prevent potential damage.
Do external shading systems help with thermal insulation?
Yes, external shading systems significantly reduce indoor heat gain in summer by blocking solar radiation before it reaches the glass. This helps maintain lower indoor temperatures and reduces the need for air conditioning.
Do External Shading Systems Improve Burglary Protection?
Yes. External shading systems, particularly roller shutters and more robust external blinds, can make it more difficult to gain entry through windows and can therefore provide an additional level of security for the building.
Are external shading systems noisy in windy conditions?
Slight movement or noise during strong winds is normal and does not indicate a product defect.
Can shading systems also be installed on existing windows?
Yes. In most cases, shading systems can be retrofitted to existing windows without major alterations to the façade.
What does the warranty for roller shutters and external blinds cover?
