Pentagonal Aluminium Box
PENTO aluminium roller shutters feature a pentagonal box and are the most popular front-mounted roller shutter system. They are ideal for completed buildings, but can also be installed during renovations or in new builds if you prefer a visible box. When operated by a motor, obstacle detection and protection against lifting of the roller shutter curtain are included as standard.
A Solution for Corner Joints
ROLTEK offers elegant solutions for every window – including windows with corner joints that require special adaptation. Contact our sales team or visit our showroom, where we will be happy to present the most suitable solutions for your building.
Flawless Finish
The optional designer end slat for front-mounted roller shutters completely closes the housing from below, protecting the mechanism and profiles from weather conditions and dirt. At the same time, it provides your roller shutters with an elegant and clean appearance.
Wide Choice of Colours
Choose from numerous colours and surface finishes for the housings, guide rails and bottom bars. Combined with the colour of the slats, you can create a perfectly coordinated colour scheme for your building. Our experienced team will be happy to advise you and help you choose a colour in line with the latest trends.
Control Options
ROLTEK systems are designed for intelligent control and full integration into modern smart homes. PENTO front-mounted roller shutters can be operated in various ways – with a belt winder, monocommand, switch or remote control. For even greater convenience, they can also be connected to the TAHOMA smart home system.
Dual Safety Function
ROLTEK wired and remote-control motors are equipped with a built-in DUAL SAFETY FUNCTION as standard:
-
Lowered roller shutter function: the roller shutter is pressed against the window sill, making it impossible to forcibly lift the roller shutter curtain.
-
Built-in obstacle detection: if the roller shutter detects an obstacle while moving, it stops immediately.

Frequently asked questions
In this section, we have collected the most frequently asked questions from our customers. If you cannot find the answer here, you can always contact us – we will be happy to advise you.
What is the difference between roller shutters, external blinds and screen shades?
Roller shutters provide the highest level of blackout as well as additional thermal and acoustic insulation. External blinds allow precise control of light and privacy, as the slats can be adjusted according to the angle of the sun. Screen shades are primarily designed to provide protection from sunlight and overheating while maintaining the view to the outside.
How often should external shading systems be maintained?
Regular basic cleaning is recommended several times a year. We also recommend checking the operation of the system at least once a year, particularly before and after the season.
Can shading systems be combined with insect screens?
Yes. External shading systems can be combined with insect screens, which can be installed separately or integrated into the same system, depending on the configuration.
What is the warranty period for roller shutters, external blinds and screen shades?
The warranty period depends on the type of product. Most products are covered by a 2- to 5-year warranty, while certain components are covered for 6 months or 1 year. The warranty covers the proper functioning and quality of the product under normal conditions of use.
What is the lifespan of external shading systems?
The lifespan depends on the type of product, the quality of the materials and regular maintenance. With proper use, external shading systems can last for many years without major issues.
Are external shading systems suitable for all types of windows?
Yes, external shading systems can be adapted to almost all types of windows, including both new-build and renovation projects. Various configurations are available, depending on the architecture of the building and the technical requirements for installation.
Can shading systems be integrated with a smart home system?
Yes. Motorized shading systems can be integrated with smart home systems, allowing automatic control via smartphone, schedules or sensors.
